Amateur Wine Tasting - The Cracked Cork

Gary over at the Cracked Cork has invited MDCrush back to host another amateur wine tasting. We'll be at The Cracked Cork Saturday August 16th, from 12-4pm. We will be pouring amateur wines made from our grape and juice products. Stop by to taste some nice wines and stock up on your winemaking supplies for the fall crush!

Amateur Wine Tasting - The Flying Barrel

Join MDCrush for a very special event at the Flying Barrel brew shop in Frederick Maryland on Saturday, July 26th, from 10:30-3:00 PM.
We will be sampling our usual list of amateur wines made from our grape and juice products.
In addition, Bob at the Barrel has lined up a beer making demonstration by Brian Gruner, the Best of Show winner at the Great Frederick Fair. Brian will be brewing an all grain batch of beer. Also on the schedule are Dave Pugh and Buck Reed, two long time mead makers who will have samples of their mead and related honey beverages. National mead day is August 2nd!

European Juice Tasting
MDCrush will be hosting a "European Juice Tasting" on Saturday, June 28th from 1-4pm at our location in Mount Airy, Maryland. We will be tasting amateur wines made from our European juice products. This event will be held together with the MidAtlantic Open Wine Competition event (see below for details).
MidAtlantic Open Wine Competition!
MDCrush will be sponsoring the MidAtlantic Open Wine Competition this year on June 28th, 2008.
Category of wines: White, Red, Fruit, Sparkling
Wines are accepted from commercial wineries, professional winemakers, and amateurs; no distinction will be made as to type of entity submitting the wine at the time of judging. No kit wine accepted. Please place your name and the category you are entering on each bottle with removable masking tape.
$6 fee per entity (person or winery). The number of entries (number of wines entered) does not affect the fee.
A party will be held on Saturday June 28th at 1pm at the above address. All participating winemakers are invited to attend. Wines will be judged (blind judging) by all who attend the party. Winners will be announced at the party and trophy or medals awarded.
The Flying Barrel in Frederick and Maryland Home Brew in Columbia may also be used as a drop off point for your entries.

Taste of Pennsylvania
MDCrush customer Brian Dudley is one of the organizers for the first annual Taste of Pennsylvania Wine and Music Festival. The festival will be held at the York Fairgrounds in York, PA on Saturday May 31st and Sunday June 1st. The festival will feature wineries from across the state of Penna, live bands and entertainment, and craft and trade vendors.

MDCrush Customer Open House
The Spring MDCrush Customer Open House will be on Saturday March 1st from 1 to 4pm. Stop by to say hi and feel free to bring along a sample of your latest works. Light fare provided. Call or email if you need directions.
We will be featuring our barrel aged 2007 Argentinean Tempranillo, 2007 Argentinean Cabernet Sauvignon, 2007 Argentinean Sangiovese, and our 2007 Maryland Pinot Grigio.

MDCrush has free exhibit floor passes for the trade show running on March 5th and 6th. This two-day pass allows you onto the exhibit hall on each day of the trade show. Includes grazing lunch with wine on day two. The Free Pass represents a $35 dollar value. Give us a call or email if you would like a pass. Quantities are limited.
